BRIGHTFIELDS
COLORADO BRIGHTFIELDS combines over 100 datasets into one easy to use mapping application users can access for free to identify sites for renewable energy development. This first version includes data on over 4,000 marginalized properties in ten counties. With large, flat, open land becoming more difficult to secure for renewable energy, this mapper is an important tool to help Colorado make progress toward its goal of 100% renewable energy for the grid by 2040.
COLORADO BRIGHTFIELDS was developed by Convergence Associates and its partners, Colorado State University and Bright Rain Solutions, with support provided by the Colorado Evaluation and Action Lab at the University of Denver.
